Warranty Policy

CLASSONEMODELWORKS COM LLC 1-Year Limited Warranty

Effective Date: October 8, 2024

Thank you for purchasing from CLASSONEMODELWORKS COM LLC (“Class One”) This limited warranty applies to all locomotives, rolling stock, and accessories purchased from Class One or an authorized reseller.

Warranty Coverage

CLASSONEMODELWORKS COM LLC (“Class One”) warrants to the original purchaser that the product (“Product”) will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for one (1) year from the date of purchase.

Retain your sales receipt for warranty claims.

Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  • Cosmetic damage, misuse, or improper handling.
  • Damage from excessive voltage, improper lubrication, or lack of maintenance.
  • Unauthorized repairs or alterations, including modifications.
  • Commercial use or accidents.
  • Normal wear items such as light bulbs, LEDs, wheel plating, and motor brushes.
  • Products not purchased from Class One or an authorized reseller.
  • Products older than three (3) years from the date of manufacture unless authorized in writing by Class One.

Limitations

Other than the express warranty outlined above, Class One disclaims any other implied warranties, including those of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Liability is limited to the price of the Product. Use, setup, and assembly of the Product are the purchaser’s responsibility, and Class One assumes no liability for any resulting damage or injury. If you are unwilling to accept this liability, return the Product unused.

Warranty Claims Process

To file a warranty claim:

  1. Contact Class One Customer Service at:
  2. Obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.
  3. Complete the RMA form with product and contact information, and provide a description of the issue.
  4. Return the Product in its original packaging and use a secondary box for shipping. Include the RMA form inside and the RMA number on the outside of the package.
  5. Ship the Product with tracking and insurance to:

Once the product is received, Class One will evaluate it. If the claim is approved, the Product will be repaired or replaced at no additional cost. If the Product cannot be repaired or replaced, a credit will be issued for the purchase price.

Non-Warranty Service

If the Product is not covered by warranty or has exceeded its warranty period, Class One will provide a repair estimate. You have five (5) business days to approve the repair, or the Product will be returned to you. If you do not arrange for return shipment within 30 days of the non-repair decision, the Product will become the property of Class One.

Governing Law

This warranty is governed by the laws of the state of Missouri. Class One reserves the right to amend this policy without notice.
