TEREX TRUCK DUMP BED, TIRES, AND REAR AXLE ASSEMBLY

TEREX builds large heavy-duty, high-capacity dump trucks for use in mining operations around the world.  These large, oversized trucks haul massive volumes of rock, coal, and other minerals from mine pits to processing facilities within the mine’s boundaries.  They are loaded with large scoop shovels deep in the pit and drive the load out of the pit.

These trucks are so large, they are not able to be driven on regular roads, and are too large for transport by conventional semi truck-trailer rigs.  They are usually disassemble, and components are shipped separately for reassembly at the mine site.

Our load was inspired by a photograph of a Terex truck dump bed and six tires loaded on Rock Island GSC depressed center flatcar #92000 (still available in our online store) and tied down with cables.  We have recreated this load in HO scale to fit all of our GSC heavy-duty flatcars.  The photo comes with the load on the rear face of the backer card.

The load kit comes fully painted and complete with a Terex truck dump bed, the cab overhang for the dump bed, cribbing to hold the dump bed in an upright position, six large tires, two tire holders, a rear axle assembly, cribbing for the axle assembly, and four feet of 0.3mm cabling to tie down your load.
